Educate Awards 2017

We are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Educate Awards in the Eco Project of the year category.

The award is the biggest celebration of education in the North West

It’s been a long journey from winning the RHS competition to actually planning ,planting and fund raising .There have been times I have despaired at the inclement  weather and how much work I had to physically undertake but on 29th June 2017 we had the grand opening of the Memorial garden.

It was a huge success but very emotional.

I feel proud to have encouraged and guided the students to transform an unused and unloved space into a garden full of memories that will stay in their hearts for ever.

Mrs Pennington
