RHS Green Plan it Challenge Winners.

8th Dec 2016

Over the past 10 weeks The Rising Arrows team, have taken part in The RHS Green Plan it Challenge for Y8 and Y9. This was an exciting opportunity for the students to engage in. Part of the challenge involved the team rethinking the role of a green space to benefit  the community.

On the 22nd November 2016 we were the only school to  represent Merseyside in the RHS Green Plan Challenge for the whole of the  North West region. The celebration event took place at the Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester.
On the day the standard of the other designs in the competition was very high but the whole school is delighted that we became overall winners.

The team designed, planned and made a model for a Reflection Garden which will be situated in  the open area on the 1st floor.
The school now  intends to  build the Reflection Garden  and open it  in June 2017, as a memorial garden for our much loved headteacher Mr Campbell who lost his battle with cancer in June this  year and for a popular Y11 student Sean Gillies who passed away suddenly in the same week.
